Roast Pork

Roast pork is so expensive when you buy outside. 10 bucks for just a few pieces! Well i try to make my own. Preparing is very easy, the tough part was to control the tempereture. It has to maintaint at 250 celcius. maybe my oven is not a GOOD EXPENSIVE oven. thats why my roast pork's skin is not very successful... :(

First 20 minutes....

Next 20 minutes.... and another 20 minutes.... and another 20 minutes.... Enough la... The skin just dont bubble nicely..... Afraid the meat will be tough if roast too long time... Give up. Off the bugger.

Surprisingly the meat is so NICE! Juicy! only the skin is tough but smells good though... i gave a piece to my doggie.... She keep chewing the skin for... erm..... 5 minutes? LOL

Not bad la, BF likes and ate most of it. will try again next time. muaks!

Runaway Cockroach

Last friday i forgot to wash my mug and left office for appointment. Monday morning saw a death cockroach in the coffee...

And last week i forgot to wash my mug again, amazing there is no cockroach in my mug! BUT!!! i saw coffee on my table. HE ESCAPE!!! LOL... lucky mr croach ahahhahaa

Shortbread cookies are ancient. They started in Scotland way back when cooking, compared to today’s standards, was crude at best. Of course they have evolved over time to what we know today.

The original shortbread cookie recipe probably included oat flour but when the English adopted it they substituted wheat flour. In Tudor England oats were considered animal food.
Traditional shortbread is baked in a round and then cut into wedges.
The story has it that the ancient Scots baked shortbread in the winter months and put cuts in the shortbread rounds to represent the suns rays. This was some sort of ritual to persuade the sun to return and do away with the cold winter.

The wintertime tradition holds on though because shortbread cookie recipes are among the most popular Christmas time cookie recipes.

Ingredients:

6oz Plain flour
4oz Soft butter
2oz caster (granulated) sugar
1 oz cornflour (cornstarch)

Method: Mix the butter and sugar together (preferably with a wooden spoon) until it is pale and creamy. Sieve both the flour and the cornflour into the bowl and mix well. Put a small amount of flour on your working surface and place the dough on this. Shake a little flour on top and roll out about quarter inch thick. Prick with a fork and cut into rounds with a cutter or, if you want one large shortbread round, pinch the edges with thumb and finger all round.
Use a palette knife to lift the shortbread onto an oiled baking tray and bake for 25 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 325F/170C/Gas Mark 3. If the biscuits are ready, they will be pale brown and crisp; if not, return to the oven for 5 or 10 minutes. Shake a small amount of caster/granulated sugar on the top of the shortbread immediately after they have been removed from the oven. Use a palette knife to move them to a cooling rack and store in an airtight tin once they are cold.

morning as usual went breakfast at food court. Parking is free provided you show them receipt for drinks. just to make sure you are the customer.

reach the booth waited 15 seconds nobody, i peep through the window and saw somebody sleeping, so i mah honk lor, he got up & open the window, i gv him the parking ticket and say "tak minum, makan saja". he looked at me and said "alah, tipu lah tak minum.... tipu ah......."

"WAH!!!! i so pissed! I terus "EH! apa you cakap?? apa tipu tipu??? makan saja tak boleh ah? HALO!! dengar tak? Oi!" he scared and ask me to go and quick2 close the window. wat lau eh.... what kind of attitude is that. I wan to cheat you a glass off chinese tea ice meh???? kanasai. i wanted to go down and call his manager but think2 better dun, next time if he see me sure whacked my car. Early2 morning make me pissed. TNS.........

My Belle - american cocker spaniel

Belle Belle my second daughter. it was love at first sight lor. when saw her in the pet shop, i carry her and put on my lap.... SHE SO QUIET and sooooooooo ADORABLE!!! she let me sayang her and she stick to me like a magnet. muahahhaha.... vroooomMMm........ we go home together..... muahahahahah..........

Now she BIG gurl dy, 3 months dy lor. her hair growing longer and she is heavier and heavier each day. "Belle Belle... dun grow so fast lar, i like how u look like now, a manja puppy so cute lar...."

Both of them getting quite well, BUT! fight for toy! naughty gila.

Lunch at HOKANO, Damansara Uptown

I told Janet about this place Hokano Japanese Restaurant. Its a small (half) shop in Uptown, same row with AM Bank facing LDP. The food is cheap and nice. For a set lunch of Sashimi is only RM20.00. Chicken Teriyaki (my favourite) RM15.80, Cha soba RM8.50, Tempura set I think is RM18.00 if i m not mistaken.

Today i bring Janet there and she ordered Sashimi set. Look, RM20.00 nia, whr to get? and so fresh you know. Tuna, salmon, butter fish & Octopus, salad, marinated cucumber, miso soup, cawan mushi & fruits.

And i ordered Chicken Teriyaki no set but after so many times went there, the lady bos gave me set.. haha, so kind of her. And this is mine!! We order Cha Soba as well but forgot to take pic.

I go there with Ed almost every week. Guess what we will order?

1) Sashimi set (Ed's fav)

2) Chicken Teriyaki set

3) Cha Soba (must have)

4) Ebi Tempura (the prawn is realy FRESH)

5) Potato Salad (nice but bit expensive, RM6.00) optional

Janet say next time we shall go again! If she say good, means the food is really damn nice and worth the money. Oh! They closed on Tuesday. Enjoy!!! Adios.........

YO! I am back to ELID!

Thursday, 5th March 2009, my first day back to Elid. Morning went in office, only Choon May around, the rest of sales staff as usual not in yet, went to HR, signed some papers, chat for awhile then headed back to my own department and i get my own sit back! (thanks to Rocky). He sacrificed to move back to his own sit. Thanks BRO! (but he didnt clean up my table, kanasai)....

Got a new laptop, whole day was cleaning up my table, setup my laptop, d/load some software, walking around saying hi to everyone. Everybody say i lost weight wo... haha... a little la, not much. i think will gain back very soon! LOL

I am very comfortable now, doing what i like to do, no stress, smiling all day and catching up on what has changed for the past 6 months.

After watching "The Game Plan", the next morning woke up, Edwin says "so good if we have a dog... a BULLDOG." i said "yerr... so ugly!" he said "cute la, and smart ok!"

Whole day i think think think... on my off day... i said "lets go pet shop." We went Taman Megah pet shop then saw a Cute puppy! so cute!!! black and choc color. A baby Silky terrier..... well we never surf and check the behaviour of silky terrier, never know much bout dog. we play wt her then saw the price RM1450.00 after discount RM1100.00. I look at Ed, he look at me.... he said "half half ah?" i said "SET!"

On the way back home, we choosing name for her. pretty? belly? cutey? maggie mee? bee bee? silly? all sorts of funny funny names.... Then we call her many names, she only respond to BABY. ok la, Baby la.reached home she so cute. jumping here and there so happy..... BUT! she loves to BITE!!! Gosh..... our hands and legs all she bites....... anyway time flies.... now she is 6 months old dy....... better now but kinda naughty ler....

What i am doing after left ELID

Its been 6 months after i left ELID, i was there for 6 years, missed my dear colleagues so much, the environment in the office, the fun's that we had, breakfast, lunch, teas........ I regretted........ What a big mistake i ve done, earning is not much different and my work now is 5 men's work!

I know its a very good training for me. I have been telling myself everyday, "mich, you gotta go through this, be patient, its a good training".

No computer, no emails, no data/records in hand, all memorised by the brain. Cant remember unit number.. get scolded. Cant remember which owner, get scolded. Number written wrong, get scolded. Pants too long, get scolded. Hair too long... said messy asked to cut short. Went for lunch, ordered rice she said "VERY FAT one you know!". Lunch again, took 1 Chroisont & 1 chicken pie (actually was sharing with another colleague), her eyes so BIG looking at the food like.... wow you eat so much..... Please let me know if someone does that to you, will you still want to eat??? But i hv no choice coz she paid for it.

There's one day she said "MAKE YOURSELF SLIMMER LA YOU! SO FAT! !". How do you feel? i was so F*****G hurt. Please dont do that to me, even my mom never yell at me. I m a human too you know.

Everytime asked to go back HQ for meeting. Nothing is well planned. Always wait and wait and wait.... waited 2 hours then only meeting, then next day scolded again for not finishing my task yesterday..... haiz.....

Everyday on standby, suddenly you need to do this, suddenly u need to do that. You need to rush here, then you have to go thr. Breakfast at 2pm, lunch at 6pm. Sometimes i hv to eat my lunch in my car. Gastric few times already. Many thing i just kept in my heart whether i m wrong or right i think i should be treated fairly. Told i should wear nicely wt makeups, high heels... (where do i have time to wear nicely? everyday i m wearing T-shirts uniform by the company). High heels??? Walking frm block to block wear high heels???

My blood pressure is getting higher and higher. And being in a area where you have so many constructions, i m dehydrated and get skin problems. I am too exhausted and tired...... Salary, commission, EPF and income tax never really sit down and discuss clearly. Few sales already closed but commission how much??? 1 month didnt pay car instalment, 1 month didnt pay my housing loan already......

My poor car, my absorbers has kong already (till now not repair yet), travelling from one project to the other driving up and down the hills. I really feel sad for my car, i can hear funny funny sounds already. Never had my car so messy and dirty before. I wished i never resigned and still working sat & sun part time rather than full time.

Today shifting from Crimson appartment whr i hv been staying for 3 years. Look at the stuff i hv. pengsan.... all moved down to lobby then transfer to the lorry. that guy charged me quite cheap. RM100 only and extra manpower of RM70, so RM170 and they carry like mad! poor guy, i bought them 100 plus and gave them 2 big bottles of mineral water.

Went to a mediteranean cuisine Fig & Olive in sunway pyramid, had lunch there wt sandy and ed, forgoten to take the pic of what we had. anyway, i had a steak (very nice), sandy had seafood spag & ed had baked fish & salad with olive oil. very nice and big portion. Thanks to Sandy, she paid for the lunch and gave me a surprise with this choc cake. its not too sweet and the choc is so good....!

And after Sandy went off, Ed insist me to try the pancake at this pancake house. He told me its from Manila and had just open a branch here in sunway piramid, so we went and try.

We orderred a Blueberry pancake, big piece of pancake stuffed wt blueberry with syrup.................. Best to go with a cup of coffee..... yum....

And this is a MUST TRY! i fell in love wt this taco, the combinations is so good and the salsa sauce was dripping when you bite on the taco..... 1000x YUMMY!

Wey Shawn celebrating his 1st birthday at Shangri-la Hotel, Lemon Garden cafe. The best buffet i've been so far.... It's only less than RM100 p/person. Nice food, lots of varieties and the best was the choc fountain. nice..............
